The 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at Bucharest Maarif School.
On this meaningful day, gifted by Atatürk to all the children of the world, students from 24 different countries studying at our school took the stage. Different languages, cultures, and colors came together, and the school was filled with the joyful spirit of the children.
The celebration program was attended by Gizem Emel, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Bucharest; Serpil Murtezaoğlu, Education Counsellor; Umut Özdemir, Tourism Attaché; diplomats Necip Afşarata and Buğra Derinyar; Salih Yürç, TİKA Romania Coordinator; Gürsel Öztürkmen, Vice President of TIAD; parents, and representatives of all stakeholder institutions.
Additionally, within the scope of 23 April National Sovereignty and Children's Day, the Embassy seat was symbolically handed over to the future ambassadors – our children. During their meeting with Ambassador Altan, the children shared their thoughts and suggestions, discussing the meaning and importance of the day.
